Apology

New Year's, Firthness Challenge Entry 2005

*This is a drabble.*

He's standing outside her building when he hears a Strauss waltz through a window. He takes that as a good omen. The last time he saw her they had a horrible fight that ended with her throwing a vase at his head. She'd missed, and he slammed the door on his way out. He's promised himself he'll apologise to her, for everything. All he really wants is to see her smile again.

She opens the door and he walks straight into her arms with I'm sorrys and I love yous and happy new year's, darling.
